Wow, that scene in the park really was awesome. Sure, Loki’d kida spoiled it for me, so I sorta knew what was coming, but it was nonetheless awesome for that. And later, once those annoying non-humanoid mutants had “freed” him, and he put his Magneto helmet back on… I had shivers running down my spine for a few minutes after that.

The rest of the story was good, too, although it never could match the first (or second; the first was an introduction of Kitty Pryde, I believe) episode. Naturally, not everything was peachy. For example, I thought the plotline with the Savage Land computer to be cheesy (although the idea was good), and the artwork for the middle parts was even more annoying than the one I complained about in “World Tour”. At least the art in “World Tour” didn’t look like it was done by Scott Kurtz on a sugar rush. (Now, don’t get me wrong, I love Kurtz’ work, but his PvP style ain’t the kind I’d love to see in a comic of this kind.)

Also, I’m a little unsure of just what transpired when Jean Grey overcame the Phoenix Force, or if it even was Jean who did it. But I guess that’s one of the disadvantages of reading these things between 2 and 3 am…
