Watched “Love Actually” — one of my favourite romantic comedies — last night, and it was as swell as always.
Not much to say about it, really, except that the cast is awesome, the stories are almost all cute as buttons (whatever the hell that’s supposed to mean; I don’t think I’m able to even imagine a cute button), and the jokes are fun. What more can one ask of in a film such as this one?
However, I missed closure on some of the plot’s parts, and that kinda disturbed the perfectness somewhat. Not that it mattered much — the unclosed plot threads were very minor — but it mattered some, and that’s enough to drag it down from a 9.0/10 to a 8.5./10 or thereabouts. And it also means that if I review my gradings some time, I’m likely to adjust it down some more.
But hey, funny as few other romantic comedies I know of, and they actually (ouch) manage to fullfill both of the promises made in the genre name.

What plot lacked closure? *confused, as I can’t remember any plot without closure in the film*

It seemed as if the plot with Karl and the woman with the brother lacked closure, but when I asked my sister about that just now, she claimed that that thread was an example of another kind of love. Which I can agree with, so…
I guess that means this whole thing with lack of closure was a moot point.
So it’ll probably be boosted to a 9.0/10 when I log it.

What? Lacked closure? There was closure. She chose her brother. Closure.

Yep, that’s what I remebered, too. Moot point, like I said.
