“Catch Me If You Can” was aired on Norwegian television tonight, and seeing as I’ve wanted to see it for a while, I sat down to watch it. Also, the trailer looked good.
And it was. The story was splendidly built and told, the chemistry between Abagnale and Hanratty was awesome, and the filming and the music was top notch. And Amy Acker was in it, too!
All I can say at the moment is that this is one of the best Spielberg movies I’ve seen in a while. I’m usually not a huge fan, but this time I was stuck all the way, from titles to credits. Elegant and sympathetic, I’ll rate this as an 8.0/10; about the same level as “O Brother, Where Art Thou?”
(Oooh, and look! There’s a new category in the sky!

A lovely movie. I particularily like the style, it does not in any way look like it was shot after year 2000. Or year 1990, for that matter.

Yeah,it was beautifully shot, and the scenery and props and stuff fitted the story and the style very well. Kinda reminded me of “Down With Love” in that respect.
