Seems like there are much here that I have forgotten in the year that has passed since I last watched “Angel”. For example, even though it should be bloody obvious that Angel can’t possibly have sprung Faith (what with her fighting him and all; somthing I distinctly remembered), I thought that he did up until the moment where Wesley begun thinking of her.
But that was actually OK; I seriously don’t mind being surprised by such an awesome Wes scene.
Besides that, these were my favourite scenes here:
First, it was Faith’s handling of Connor. “If it comes down to you or Angelus, I haven’t seen anything that’ll make me choose you.” Awesome. This is the stuff goosebumps are made of.
Second, it was The Beast’s speech to Faith. Or rather, it was the way Angelus broke into his speech, by suddenly appearing in the frame, leaning in and saying, “And ain’t that the truth,” or something like that. Man, Angelus is one hell of an entertainingly executed character.
Finally, I can’t help but think: How many vampires were slain when the Sun returned? I mean, the streets had to be crawling with them, and they flew in from all over the world to participate in the carnage, so I’m thinking that maybe this sudden burst of sunlight might have killed more vampires than Buffy.
Oh well. Onwards! Onwards to glory! And Jasmine: God is NOWHERE! JASMINE is the way! ![]()

You didn’t remember my favourite scene of the entire show pre-”Lineage”?!!!!
Come-sodding-ON!
That scene is EXCELLENCE. INCARNATED. The only two that come even close to it, and this on a show with TONS of excellent scenes, are “You’re a dead man, Pryce!” and “And yet somehow, I can’t seem to care”, but even those, I’d say, is beaten rather clearly by “…Step away from the glass.”
