So, this is my blog. What should I do with it? Should I use it as a diary, where I write about my life, my opinions and so on and so forth. Most likely, yes. There will be some of that. But as I’m personally rather tired of the tyranny of intimacy that is so prominent in today’s society — where everyone seems to be wearing
their hearts on their sleeves and blathering about insignificant nonsense on the first
page of every major newspaper – I’ll try to minimize the amount of words I use on my own life. I’ll try. But because I have few people to talk to in real life, and since I’m a person with opinions about many things, there will be some  posts about such things. For which I’m sorry, like I’ve said. Not because I flatter myself by thinking that people are actually gonna read the stuff I write (I can only hope :P), but because I dislike these public displays of private things.

(Note how crappy my English is, and how much I need this blog to practice it: I’ve used the word “but” in every other sentence in the first paragraph.)

So, if not posts of a very personal nature, what will this blog contain? A lot of different things, I hope.
First of all, I might write reviews of books I read, films I see, music I listen to, and so on and so forth, since I’m not very good at writing reviews.
Second, I’ll post lists. I love lists. They’re oversimplified, they’re badly nuanced (if at all), etc., but that doesn’t prevent them from being fun. In a way, lists are kinda like what we in Norway call “spissformuleringer”. (I don’t have my dictionaries here, unfortunately, so I have to try a translation of my own. Pointed phrasings, perhaps? Phrasings which exaggerate conflicts, and ignores intricacies, nuances, and details. Lovely. ;D
Third, I’ll post links. Links to images, links to videos, links to articles, links to news, links to other blogs, links to forums, links to google results. In short, links to everything imaginable, if I’m not careful…
Fourth, I’ll post opinions on topics I feel strongly about. I lean pretty hard to the left, something my posts’ll reflect. However, I’m not one of those ultra-partisan people who only support one side of a conflict (except when it comes to bashing Terry Goodkind, of course. :P). I’ll do my best to ridicule people I consider morons. (There’ll be more destructive than constructive criticism though, because it’s so much easier to point at the flaws of others, rather than coming up with your own consistent opinions.) There’ll also, of course, be the occasional description of things I’ve done in the recent past, or things I look forward to in the future. These are the ones I’ll try to minimize.
Finally, at least for now, I will try to use this as a log when I’m writing my university term papers. That was the purpose of my first blog, and that will most likely be one of the many purposes of this one as well, seeing as it’s much easier to remember stuff once you’ve written it down.

That was the intentional stuff. There’ll also be lots of unintended stuff, I hope. Because, frankly, the blog I’ve sketched above, seems awfully dull. Boring, almost.

In short, this’ll be a total rip-off of my good friend Loki’s “non-blog”. Something for which I am terribly sorry, old chap. I hope you can take comfort in the fact that this’ll be a bleak copy — you can completely bask in the glory of your supremacy over me. You’d like that, wouldn’t you?
