Second challenge from zhayena — “what’s the scariest film you’ve ever seen?”
I had to think about this for a while, and although I initially considered the only “Children of the Corn” film I’ve ever seen, the answer came to me not long thereafter — “From Dusk Till Dawn“.
I was 13 when I watched it, and my mother had to sit in my room until I fell asleep. I couldn’t finish it, because I got cramps from the fright. My father, on the other hand, thought it to be hilarious, and sat beside me, laughing his brains out.
I have no idea what scared me so about this film — when I think back on it, I can’t really see what was so scary — but this is neverthless the scariest film I’ve seen in my entire life. It scared me so that I kept looking over my shoulder for two years after seeing it, just in case some mad vampire was sneaking up on me from behind…
I might add that I’m not much of a horror fan. The only horror movies I can remember liking were “From Hell” and “Sleepy Hollow” (neither of which are typical of the genre, as far as I can tell), and I generally avoid this genre like the plague.

It might be the whole twist of it that scared you, as it start out to be a normal gangster movie, but woops Tarantino gets the wheel. - I was rather confuced first time I saw it.
