It’s not even 48 hours since the last time I deleted all the spam comments the spam filter has filtered out for me, and yet, this.

And about an hour later the count had grown to 707, something which forced me to activate the “Challenge” plug-in. This is my first post since activating it, though, so I don’t know if it works yet.

Hmm, looks like it isn’t active for registered commenters, so I’ll move over to my parent’s computer (technically mine, still, but if there’s two things in the world few people care about, it’s technicalities and old computers. The combination of these? So rare my mind blanks when I try to think of it.) and see what happens there.

Here we are. And it’s working. Yay! ^^

And this is fun, too. I could probably sit here all night, solving these ridiculously simple riddles.

But spamming one’s own blog isn’t exactly what I’d call constructive use of time, so…
However, unless I’ve grown demented in the last coouple of minutes, and 5+7×0 isn’t 0, there’s something wrong with the plug-in…

If you get a lot of trouble with this thing, though, let me know, and I’ll turn it off…

I’ve had similar problems with the anti-spam filter at Loki’s blog, though, and the solution’s quite simple:
“Back”, “ctrl+a”, “ctrl+c”, “f5″, “crtl+v”, solve puzzle, “submit comment”.

Terje: You may change the anti-spam question to something more resolvable under options -> Challenge
I’m working on several new antispam features, as we’re been hit quote hard lately.
And I didn’t write this for nothing: Beskyttelse mot spamkommentarer

Ah, thanks Zhayena. I should have remembered that one. Although, after having read through it, I must admit I’m a little sceptical; all of the suggested methods seemed to have unwanted side effects, like limiting discussion and possibly hinder nice people from commenting.
I’ll look over it once more, some time I’m more awake…

As for now, as the Challenge kept Loki from commenting, I’ve deactivated it, and instead turned on some of the other limitations.

Wow 0.o
I never got more than maximum 4 spam comments pr. day. Color me jealous

Fuck you and the dhren’rabi you rode in on.
And it’s not so bad now; just forcing people to give me their name and e-mail adress seems to have reduced the torrent of spam I had here last week.
