But I still love it. I still think it’s fun to watch the Janitor torment JD, I still laugh when Turk tries to stand up to Carla, I still pity JD one moment only to hate him the next — in short, I’m still enjoying it almost as much as I did the first season or two.
Granted, it could just be because I’m an extremely sentimental guy, and I’ve come to like (I’d use the word “love”, but seeing as (a) that would sound weird, and (b) I’m not sure if I’m emotionally capable of loving, I won’t) these characters, and it’s still a blissfully character-driven show (which, you’ll probably agree, most great shows are).
In short, I’ll soon have season 6 downloaded, and I plan on being set to follow season 7, once it arrives. (TV.com was a little unclear on when this’ll be, but I rarely use more than a day or two on a Scrubs season, so…)

While I haven’t ever rewatched Scrubs’ fifth and sixth season, I seem to recall feeling that their fifth was their weakest one ever, while the sixth got better again. So, while I won’t guarantee it, I think you can hope being pleasantly surprised by it.

Glad to hear it, cos I recently read some things written by people who obviously thought season 6 was the weakest. But when you say it’s better than the 5th? I hardly need any more.
Not that I hadn’t watched it anyway, but you know…

Oh, the sixth season is much better than season 4 and 5. Too many irritating sub-plots (I’ve always carried a strong dislike for anything concerning Elliot Reid’s love life, except for her latest boy toy, Keith, and season 3-5 was riddled with ‘em).
I’d rate the season like this:

Season 6
Season 3
Season 4
Season 5
Season 1
Note that I don’t particularly dislike season 1 much more than the others, I just feel that the show hit its stride till it’s midway point.

However, the third, fourth (what I remember of it, anyway; I’ve usually watched the seasons on top of each other, so to say, so I have some problems remembering what happened in which season) and fifth seasons are pretty much at the same level; I can’t honestly say I thought any of them were much better than any of the others. On the other hand, though, I haven’t seen the first four seasons since last spring, and I have a very ephemreal memory when it comes to these things.

I have that issue too. I tend to focus on what ends them - season 1, Jordan revealing all the main characters secrets at once, season 2, Cox popping Kelso on the mouth, season 3, Carla and Turk’s wedding, season 4 and season 5 I don’t recall yet, as I haven’t seen either more than once.

Nah, I seem to remember that she doesn’t appear at all until the very end of season 5.
According to good ol’ wiki, this is what happens at the end of season 4:
“J.D. prepares to start living life on his own, and strains his friendship with Turk. Elliot makes an effort to pursue a new career opportunity at another hospital in town, and this upsets Carla who thought Elliot was staying, despite the close proximity of the new job. Dr. Cox tries to prevent Jordan from accepting a job at the hospital.”
So… Nothing special about it really.
