Today, after looking for Thucydides‘ “The History of the Peloponnesian War” for over a year, I finally found it! :D

This means that I’ve finally completed my collection of what I consider to be the pearls of Hellas, which in addtition to Thucydides’ masterpiece includes Plato’s “The Republic“, Herodotus‘ “Histories” and and Xenophon’s “The Persian Expedition” (also known as the “Anabasis”, apparently).

So now I got the first protocommunist book (”The Republic”), I’ve got the first Realist book (”Peloponnesian War”), which in addition is one of the first truly historical books, along with “Histories”, and I got the book that according to Montgomery of el-Alamein inspired Philip II to reform his army, and thus laid the basis for his son’s empire (”The Persian Expediditon”).

Now, if only I can find the time to read all of this… :P
