Stumbled across this on Vuze the other day, and thought I’d better take a look at it, seeing as I reckon myself to be a Joss Whedon fan of sorts.
And it was good. Sure, if you don’t fancy watching geeks rant on about some stupid TV show for one and an half hour, you probably won’t enjoy it much. But then again, if these are your feelings, then “When I am king, you will be first against the wall, with your opinion which is of no concequence at all,” to quote dear Thom Yorke. On the other hand, if you like, love, adore, worship or in any other way enjoy the phenomenon that is Firefly, and also like to see ordinary people… no, wait scratch that, extraordinary people who are passionate about a piece of real art, then go watch it.
We owe these people so much, the least we can do is watch their movie.
9.0/10.
And I only give it this rating, or indeed rate it at all, because I can then jot it down in my movie log. Because rating the chronicle of a historical event? Absurd.
Also: This. And this. Thinking of complaining of the poor sounds quality? Shut up and go watch the movie, you schmucks!

I would very much like to see this myself.

Well, it should be easy enough to obtain, if you have the conscience to look for it at some torrent site or other.

Hmmm. Interesting…
But not overly so.

Prehaps not, but when you bear in mind that without these people, Serenity wouldn’t have happened, it becomes more so. At least for me. But then again, I tend to be obsessed with this kind of subpopculture. (Not related to the legendary record label.)
Not to mention that it’s always nice to watch people talk about things they care about, even if it might at times reach the level of “care” that I get freaked out by.
