Finally! Almost two years since I bought and started playing it, and some five or six years since the game’s release, I finally finished Neverwinter Nights!

I was close about half a year ago, too, when I had this rather nice Half-Orc Paladin going for me, but unfortunately, he proved to be no match for the Luskan captains, with his pathetic AC 38. Luckily, the Dwarven Cleric Furin Holf did better (Clerics almost always do), with his AC 44, good offensive and defensive buffing spells, and offensive direct damage spells the basically leveled everything in his path.

I seriously can’t understand why people would ever want to play anything other than Cleric.

(’Course I do, but I’m not in the mood for nuances now, I’m too high on adrenaline! :D )

On a slightly different note, though, I hope this’ll entail a curbing of my NwN obsession; I’ve spent way too much time on this game the last two years. Basically, it’s pretty much the main reason why my net-presence has been so rare lately…

I remain hopeful in this respect; the final chapter of the game was pretty disappointing (because of the quick death that met my last character I bothered to play all the way to the final chapter, I’ve been a bit reluctant to take any character farther than chapter 3, and so it turned out that chaoter 4 can be won in about two hours, and isn’t all that hard, really), and the game itself is a pretty bleak surrogate for the real thing. (Which is DnD with living people, in case you’ve bothered to read this far, and happened to wonder.)

Ah, I’m almost relieved I don’t get NwN2 to function as good as I’d like, because if I had, I’d waste even more time on this stuff…
