Back in season 2 or three (I think), there was a rather Spike centred episode, in which we learned where Spike got his leather coat from: A black Slayer he met on a NYC subway in the 70s. And in this episode, Principal Wood’s identity is revealed, and it turns out he’s the son of a Slayer. And as he’s old enough to have been four around the time when Spike got his leather coat…
And it turned out I was right. And once again Loki’s praise of the continuity and lack of loose ends shows itself to be more than just the empty words of a sycophant. (giggle)
And if that wasn’t enough to make this episode just as special as most of the other episodes this season, Whedon and his crew let Xander go on a date. And guess what? His date’s a monster. God, that gimmick is so good, I can’t help but grin every time I think of it.
Also, it seemed as if The First got hold on one of the Principal’s pubic hairs. It’ll soon have him by the balls, I suspect, and his alignement won’t be good any longer. Nor will it be directly evil, of course. Vengeance is often an alignement all on its own…
Mesa thinks I’ll watch a couple of more episodes later tonight…

Season 2 or 3?! Season 5, dude, in the piece of sheer brilliance known as “Fool for Love”.

That late? Hmm. I guess it’s not really a good idea to watch a season in less than two days. Not much sticks…
