I don’t really know why, but I’ve always been fond of the Kate character. Sure, she’s not very witty, nor particularly awesome, nice or cool. But she’s utterly ordinary. Not a Slayer, not a Vampire, not a watcher, not a witch, werewolf, evil lawyer, half-demon, Cordelia, genious — she’s just an ordinary woman who’s been thrown into a world she’d never imagined. And she copes. She has some occasional problems, but mainly, she copes. Which is admirable. She’s kinda like Xander, in a way, except that he’s witty, of course, and he’s also a more integrated part of the hero gang than Kate is. She’s not exactly my favourite character or anything, I’m just fond of her. Among all the weirdness, it’s good to have something down-to-earth to relate to.

But apart from Kate, this episode isn’t much. There’s some cool character interaction, but this is the case with 98 % of all ‘verse episodes. Not that this fact lessens the awesomeness of the character interaction in any way; this episode, for axample, has some really nice moments with Doyle and Cordelia, as well as some mopey ones with Angel.

The plot and the monster is kinda dull, although the theme is rather well handled. Not much more to say, I think.

(EDIT: By the way, Loki, I finally got my hands on the t-shirts today. I’m busy tomorrow, but I’ll try to get them mailed to you on Woden’s Day, unless my sister requires me to help her move. Regardless, you’l most likely have them in a week, at the most. :))
