Occasionally, this tag will be followed by a plan on how to take over the world. Other times, it’ll head a post where I list things I plan to buy in the near future.

A nice and flexible tag, in other words. Applicable, in other another word.

Oh man…

I just watched a couple of minutes of a “60 Minutes” program, where they interviewed Bill O’Reilley (or however in Hel it’s spelled). And even though the interviewer was so critical as to almost be refered to as “hostile”, and in spite of O’Reilley’s obvious vanity and arrogance, the interview managed to create some sympathy [...]

Just popping in…

… to post a kind of a memo to self:
Terje, you prancing ponce, when you get home, and have a moment of respite, check out Hal Duncan’s blog, and his post on elitism, escapism and all that stuff in particular. And for now, please try to pay attention to the nice lady who’s trying her [...]

I had a dream…

The other night, I actually dreamed about Azureus and downloading. How sick is that?
Pretty damn sick, I guess, but that’s besides the point. If I have one. Which I doubt. Regardless, what I dreamt was that I came home after spending the weekend at my sister’s place, and all 46.87 gigs of Babylon 5 was [...]

Oh, and…

… the “Firefly” DVD I had to order because of Loki (okay, so here’s my contribution for the “Worst Excuse of 2007 Award” ) arrived yesterday!
Which means that as soon as I’ve force-fed my sister the last couple of episodes of VM (this show really stands to be watched a second time, I’ve [...]

Nerdenes Rikskringkasting!

Okay, den andre norske posten min på ei uke. Ikke akkurat et så veldig godt tegn at det gjør noe. Men, men.
Uansett, det som denne gangen vekker min entusiasme, som NRK-patriot (jeg ser ikke på andre kanaler) er nyheten om at NRK har kjøpt inn “Heroes” og at de skal begynne å sende serien i [...]

Harbingers — AS4×7 Apocalypse, Nowish

My plan for the weekend: Finishing season 4 of “Angel”, so that my sister and I won’t catch up with me.
It’s started well, with “Apocalypse, Nowish” and its commentary with Steven S. DeKnight (writer and co-producer) and Vern Gillum (director). Great episode, but the commentaries wasn’t able to top the ones I’ve seen before. But [...]

VM2×22

That has got to be the most traumatic season finale I’ve ever seen. This one is a dangerous rival to BS5 and AS5, and I doubt I’ll get much sleep in the three hours remaining before I have class.
Damn, I gotta start downloading season 3 soon.

Couple o’ updates more

1. I just wrote a new page, entitled “Buffysodes”, on which I’ve put links to all my quasi reviews of Buffysodes. In time, it might be renamed to just “’sodes” or something, and have links to more reviews, but for now this is all there is. It’s primarily written as a service to my sister, [...]

The Sounds of January

I continue what I started in December: Making a home made CD to listen to while on the bus, in the car, or when I’m out walking. I also follow up a kind of dogma I thought up while burning December’s CD: That I won’t use the same band twice. I doubt that that dogma [...]

“Faster Than A Speeding Bullet: The Rise of the Graphic Novel”

I read this quick little introduction to the history of graphic novels on Thursday, and I gotta say it was quite good. Naturally, I’m not too versed in the history of these things myself, but the book didn’t seem to disagree with what little I knew from earlier.
First there was a couple of chapters dealing [...]

Generic speculative fiction stuff

I’ve been browsing various SFF sites tonight, looking for interesting articles, reviews and interviews, and although it’s technically a little late for me to really put my heart in it, I’ve found some read-worthy stuff, as well as a couple of things I’ve gotta get around to later.
————————————————————————————————————————–
One of the things I just read was [...]

“No, I commute” — AS3×2 The Vision Thing

Yay, a good one!
This episode is practically thoroughly awesome. There’s Lilah’s plot to use Angel as a pawn, and everything related to that, as a kind of episode-plot, but at the same time, there’s lots of stuff related to the season plot arcs — both the Connor one and the Cordelia one, to [...]

Back again…

I’d almost forgotten all about how much it hurts to get a partially frozen, horisontally flying snowflake driven into one’s eye with the force of a fresh breeze. So thank you for returning and reminding me, dearest King Winter.
Anyway, I’m going away for a couple of days, so there won’t be any new posts here [...]

#20! :D

Å Rosenborg, å Rosenborg
E Trondhjems fotballag
Å Rosenborg, å Rosenborg
Tar seiern hjem i dag
Vi reise oss på store stå
Når Troillongan går på
Å ingen banke RBK
Åheiåheiåheiåhååååååååååååååååååååååååååååå!
Yay, unless Brann gets two 6-0 victories in their last two matches, and Rosenborg gets two 0-6 defeats, it looks as if I’ll be buying a new shirt next year. [...]

Wow, I actually did a clever thing o.O

And the thing? Well, for the last couple of weeks, I’ve been semi-worried over not seeing a comment here, because I rarely bother to check if there’s more than five new since the last time I was here, and I’ve disabled the annoying e-mail notifications. And now, I realized that I could use the comments [...]

And we’re done! :D

Two down, one to go. But that one is so ridiculously small that I don’t really see it as much of a problem. As for this one, I’m relatively happy with it, I think I managed to get it as cohesive as possible and also quite structured and, well, just assignment-answering, really.
Oh, and I got [...]

Quote-o-rama (not the one married to Sita)

I just noticed that I’ve got to buy a new A5 notepad tomorrow, as my old one — which I’ve had for well over a year — is filled with Buffisic and Angelic quotes.
So yay for you who regularly check out the new posts I make in the quote thread at tidshjulet.net, for soon, I’ll [...]

Tonight’s plans:

1. Read the 31 page article “Reinventing Governments: The Promise and Perils of United Nations Peace Building”, praying for a couple of relevant passages to come up in the first couple of pages so that I won’t have to read the entire thing.
2. Define concepts, beginning with the Realist school of IR theory, its views [...]

Bloody bureaucratic pedants…

I could be finished reading for my political science paper on UN, war and peace, having read a couple of chapters from books outside of the course’s syllabus. But nooo, the bloody pedantic bureaucrats who run the department of political science and sociology here at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology have decided that [...]

Drool…

When I get the start-of-semester study loan next January, this is what I’ll use it on. And the fact that it costs more than half a month’s rent be damned.
And then, when I can afford it, this one‘ll be bought.
After all, even though BS1-7 costs NOK 1700 and AS1-5 costs NOK 1250, I’ve gotta have [...]
