“I’m the invisible man / incredible how you can / see right through me” - BS7×03

SPOILERS, obviously…
(Although they’ll be moderate…)
Immediate impression: Wee! Willow’s back! Willow’s back!
Yet another good episode. Perhaps the best of the three S7 episodes I’ve seen this far. Again, there was a monster-of-the-week villain — and ’twas a creepy lill’ feller, indeed — which (I’m unsure of wether or not it’s correct to use [...]

Beastie Boy — BS7×02

It took me a while to get there, but I finally managed to goad myself into seeing the second episode of the seventh season of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” (and how cheesy a title isn’t that?). “Beneath You”. A nice, ambiguous title.
Again: SPOILERS!
I finally figured out what I think I suspected during the opening of [...]

Punk? Terje?!

Yeah, I know. I don’t exactly seem like the archtypical punk fan. And I’m probably not. But although I don’t look like a punk, and probably don’t think like a punk either, I can’t help but like the music, as well as what I see as the quintessential message of punk: Don’t care what anyone [...]

Ah, the brilliance of online shopping…

Last week, I visited some three or four bookshops here in Trondheim in search of R. Scott Bakker’s “Prince of Nothing” novels. The only thing I found, was a trade paperback copy of The Thousandfold Thought, volume three in the series. And I’m not that keen on trade paperbacks, really. They have a great format [...]

Introduction to International Relations

This was the first lecture in the course, and also the first lecture many new students of political science attend, so there was quite a lot of generalities about political science — basic definitions, rough overviews of social scientific method, and more practical information. Most of it I already knew, as I’ve taken courses in [...]

Blogroll updated

Some links added, mainly links to my favourite forums at the moment: Fantasyforumet.net, Tolkiens.net, Tidshjulet.net, and Guardians’ Grove/Everestia Community.
I also added a link to Loki’s blogg, which I read daily. And if I link to it from here, I won’t have to go the long way via bookmarks/blogs to get there.

Curse upon curse upon blasphemous curse!

Today, I found out that the day the American Drama Group Europe perform Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew in the Archbishop’s Palace here in Trondheim, is the second day of the Bjørnson Festival of International Literature, where I’ll be working as a volunteer. This is kinda crappy, as I’ve been looking forward to seeing the [...]

A New Purpose

Today, while out walking in my neighbourhood, I came up with a new, or additional, purpose for this blog.
I study Social Science at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology here in Trondheim, and I’m working towards a Bachelor degree with a focus on Political Science and History. I have one year to go before [...]

Arthur wassisname?

King Arthur - Director’s Cut (2004). I remember seeing an advertising poster for this film once, it must have been around Christmas 2003, and I just couldn’t wait to see it. However, for various reasons I never got around to watching it in the theatres, and after it was released on DVD, I’ve basically only [...]

C’est la sense de la vie!

Ok, I’ve mentioned Monty Python’s “The Meaning of Life” (1983) a couple of times now, and so I thought I’d finally get around to writing a kind of review of it. Mind you, I rarely, if ever, write reviews of anything, so this’ll probably be a badly constructed one.
The first thing that struck me, was [...]

Addendum!

Some explaination on the last post: It was just as much a post to make me remember what happened in that episode, as it was a review or something. After all, I have serious trouble separating the episodes, and to a certain extent the seasons as well…
So I’ll keep doing this. Every time I’ve seen [...]

“There’s only powah…” - impressions of BS7×01

Just finished BS7×01 - Lessons, the first Buffy episode I’ve seen in almost three months. Cause enough to celebrate with a post here, if you ask me. But what to say? And where to begin? How about… umm, I dunno… the beginning, perhaps?
Woops. Almost forgot to add this: SPOILERS.
It was good to see [...]

Concerning Consonants

Just one last comment before I’m off:
Often, you may see a word like “fodd”, or “lokk”, or something like that. I guess you’d be able to figure it out on your own, but that’s just typos. I often find that I have typed a double consonant instead of a double vowel — a typo I [...]

Disabling the visual rich editor

Seeing as my previous attempts have stranded, and the only posts I’ve made that look reasonably decent are the ones written in the HTML mode, I’ll just use it and hope for the best. If I’m lucky (against all odds), this’ll, if not solve the problem, then at least make it go away to some [...]

Yet another test, part infinite+1

OK, let’s see:
Word wrap box: check.
Double dashes — checked. (I’m not sure why I think that these’re causing any problems, but hey. Better safe than sorry, right? :P)
Then, I gotta write some nonsense again. Nonsense, nonsense, nonsense… Aha, possible topic discovered! You see, today, I’ve moved back to Trondheim, where I attend university (to say that I study would be an insult to hard-working students everywhere). And because I was totally engrossed in Buffy season 5 the last couple of days I spent in Trondheim, I didn’t wash my room to a satisfying degree (for my mother; personally, I couldn’t have cared less). So today, after a three and an half hour drive, I cleaned the walls in my room. It’s horisontal wooden panel, so there was a lot of dirt between the planks. It was probably time for one of these cleanings.
Argh, that’s all I can take to write about such a trivial matter. And besides, my language [...]

Alright!

Neat-o, the formatting looks OK!
Then, all I gotta do, is type a semi-long post in the rich text thingy, and see what happens when I don’t check the “Word wrap” box in the HTML Source editor. Hopefully, things’ll have improved all on their own - or rather, because of something Zhayena’s done - and I’ll be able to write my fingers off. I wanted to say ”fingers crossed!” again, like I did at the end of the last  post, but I can’t force the poor buggers into crossing themselves, when the thing they’ll be crossed for, is that they’ll fall off. r something.
Well, [...]

Just another test

Just to see if things return to state of horribility when I enable rich text editing.
I am hoping that the word wrap problem will improve, as I entered the “Edit HTML Source” and checked the “Word wrap” box before changing from rich text to HTML write pad. Hmm. I just checked that box again, and [...]

Looks like things have settled themselves

I changed from the “rich text write pad” to the “html write pad”, and made sure to check the “word wrap” box in some window, and now things are looking better!
I’l have a looksie tomorrow, and see if I can fix the previous posts, too.

Annoyances

With the summer vacation drawing to an end, I find it appropriate to sum up this summer’s annoyances — great and small, real and imagined. So, things that have annoyed me this summer includes:
1. Tourists. During my summer vacations, I work as a guide at a local museum — an old rectory, to be precise, [...]

This is just a test, really, to see if things are better or not…

So, let’s see then, what happens when I write a long paragraph. Will lines still protrude far out into the right hand menu? Or will things fall into place, nice and orderly, the way it’s supposed to? Obviously, I am hoping for the latter, seeing as I’ve spent my day on a six hour long hike in the mountains, and as a result of this, I am quite exhausted. After all, I’m not in particularly good shape…
So. [...]
