This is just a quick notification regarding what I’ll be doing the next week, and how this will affect my blogging and general availability.
I’m leaving the country tonight to go on a trip with my classmates to the great and mighty nations of Poland and Germany. The main aim of the trip is to educate us about the holocaust, and we’ll be doing so by visiting hell-holes like Auschwitz, Birkenau and Ravensbrück, and I understand there there’ll also be an evening where we get to talk to someone who actually lived in a concentration camp. I won’t say that it’s going to be a good time, because that sounds just wrong, but it should be very informative.
But fear not, dear readers, there’s bound to be a lot of fun stuff going on too, and you’ll get to read all about it when I come back the 6th of April. Until then I hope you’ll survive even though ‘A Slight Apocalypse’ will be keeping radio silence on all frequencies. Oh, and if you’re expecting me to answer any e-mails or comments in the mean time, I fear you’ll have a long wait ahead of you…
So, in the famous words of a guy who is as close to Polish or German as it gets:
I’ll be back!
In April.

Enjoy your trip, then!

I’ve been on a similar trip with the white busses. I couldn’t really take it in on me, the camps are all green and flowery now. The pond that was filled with human ashes was pretty grotesque though.
I also met a prisoner of the concentration camps. A norwegian guy.
