It always surprises me how much it sucks to be sick.

Because it looks so damned comfortable from the outside looking in. Yes, I don’t have to go to school, and yes, I can pretty much do anything I want to while I’m making the best of efforts to blow my brains out through my nose. And that’s all fine & dandy, but no matter how good the perks of sickness get you can never get away from the fact that you’d rather be doing anything else besides ‘taking it easy’. Heck, I’d even consider working out, and that should go a long way in showing how sick I am of… well, being sick.

The only fun thing about this sinus infection has been the complimentary fever dreams, which have been entertaining, albeit terribly uncomfortable. Just last night I woke up, thoroughly convinced that me and Alan Moore were building a gargantuan maze of a tower in my backyard that would eventually enable us to take over the world. Oh, and more thing: when I say ‘me and Alan’, I mean that Alan was the chief architect and I was some kind of liberated gimp.

This goes a long way in showing that you should never read Alan Moore and Warren Ellis comics at the same time. Nothing good can come of it.

Anywho, I’m on the mend and feeling slightly less feverish today, so things should be back to normal in a jiffy. Give us a shout-out if you want to hear my thought on the comics I’ve been reading lately (Warren Ellis’ “John Constanine”, Alan Moore’s “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen”, Joss Whedon’s “Those Left Behind”, the latest Buffy & Angel issues and probably some other stuff, too). If no one gives a shit I think I’ll just let the past be the past and continue onwards with new stuff.

Urgh. I don’t know. My head feels like it’s wrapped and ready for intercontinental shipping. Hopefully things will shape up soon enough.
